Sangha Tea is a wonderful opportunity to nourish and enrich our practice. This month please bring a story or writing, yours or someone else's, that has been meaningful for you in some way. Possibly something from our teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, or a child's fresh vision that touched you, perhaps a true story from your past, or maybe what you see on the road ahead--a good joke is always nice, or just your presence (as Jerry Braza says, "Your presence is your greatest gift.") Ken will facilitate and there will only be a small group of us, as so many our off adventuring or vacationing. We'll share the names of those who we know will be missing, and send them loving kindness. Al has volunteered to bring something to drink, Ken is bringing some light food. Feel free to add your contribution if you wish. As we will be small in number, let's be large in our practice and have a very enjoyable evening.
Your Attention: There is a mature, responsible person in need of temporary shelter. I will post more details in an email sent this evening. Please consider if you or someone you know may be able to reach out and help.
"Compassion is not condescension, but a leveling of the playing field, a recognition of yourself in others... The gulf between us all is imaginary, born of insecurity and fear."
- Stephen Schettini
