Sangha Practice this Monday, Labor Day

posted Aug 31, 2013, 8:31 AM by Five Stones
Meet for our weekly meditation practice this Monday, at the Corvallis Friends Meeting House, 3211 NW Polk, at 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM.  We will recite and study the Five Mindfulness Trainings, and share a dharma discussion.  The mindfulness trainings are the heart of our practice and we recite them regularly, the first Monday of the month.  Preceding the recitation/discussion we will enjoy guided, walking, and sitting meditations.  Our presence strengthens our practice and strengthens the communities' practice as well.
In peace,

“All of us know that our beautiful green planet is dander.  Our way of walking on the Earth has a great influence on animals and plants.  Yet we at as if out daily lives have nothing to do with the condition of the world.  We are like sleepwalkers, not knowing what we are doing or where we are heading.  Whether we can wake up or not depends on whether we can walk mindfully on our Mother Earth.  The future of all life, including our own, depends on our mindful steps.  We have to hear the bells of mindfulness that are sounding all across our planet.  We have to start learning how to live in a way that a future will be possible for our children and our grandchildren.”
