Beginning at 5:30 PM Irene will facilitate our meditation practice and lead a dharma discussion on the breathe. Our main teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, emphasizes the great importance of mindfulness of breathing. Our breathe is always available, we just have to use our mindfulness to energize our awareness of our breath, follow our in-breath and our out-breath, and we realize we are fully alive, in the here and in the now. It is our constant companion, our refuge, our connection between the historic dimension and the ultimate dimension.
Irene, a registered Kripala Yoga instructor, will lead us in gentle yoga stretches and breathing techniques. We meet at the Friends Meeting House, 3211 NW Polk Street, Corvallis.
