We have the opportunity to practice together again, tomorrow at the Willamette River (see previous post) and as usual, Monday, at 5:30. As Winter turns into Spring, we will walk into our Spring Retreat with some words by Thich Nhat Hanh, our primary teacher, on Solidity and Freedom. Come Home to your true self. Mindfulness is at the core of our practice. When we are mindful, we are concentrated. When we are concentrated, we have the ability to understand and transform any obstacles to our happiness, love, and understanding. Sitting and walking together as a sangha, make this especially easy and joyful to accomplish.
Ken will facilitate.
Opportunities to help the sangha:
We need a person to arrive at 5:00 to setup, this week and in the coming weeks. We all put items away and leave the room nicer than we found it.
Create a layout for a sign that will be posted by the door, outside. Graphics are available as well as text: layout skills needed.
Sangha tea will be next week. Please bring something special to see, taste, touch, smell, and/or understand: a flower, a poem, a friend, an insight in your practice...
