Monday, March 18th at 5:30 Sangha Mindfulness Practice

"Becoming Truly Alive" (from Buddhadharma Winter 2009), an article by our teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, will be the subject of our Dharma Discussion.  Irene will lead as we practice guided, walking/or movement, and formal sitting meditations before the discussion begins.   Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin promptly and end at 7:00 PM.  Al has volunteered to coordinate setup and we all share in putting things away afterwards.

Sometimes we go through our day (days, weeks, years...) in a kind of fog, unaware of all the opportunities available to us for happiness, joy, and compassion.  We hurry and worry.  Mindfulness is the antidote, and it is always available.   Mindfulness will be cultivated Monday, as we are together as a sangha, and enjoy our time together.  Perhaps you might share something of your practice, especially of times you've discovered yourself feeling truly alive, awake and joyful!
Next week we will enjoy our monthly Tea.
With gratitude and a bow,
Ken
