Buddha's Five Precepts...
As the first Monday of the month has arrived, our Sangha will join in the recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings at 5:30pm. Thich Nhat Hanh developed these trainings from the Buddha's simple Five Precepts and which are very useful in living loving, fruitful, happy lives here in our Western culture. Far from being dogma, the Trainings serve as lightposts from which we can shine a light on the ways we live our lives day to day. Through contemplation and practice of the five lights, our lives can become richer and more fulfilling.
Please join us as we practice our three meditations and remind ourselves of the teachings in the Five Mindfulness Trainings.
