This coming Monday we will recite, study, and discuss the Five Mindfulness Trainings that are so basic to our practice of mindfulness. The Mindfulness Trainings are the core of the practice for the lay community
The Trainings are our commitment to ourself, our teacher and the practice which extends back to Sakyamuni Buddha, 2600 years ago. Our ancestral teachers in China and Vietnam, Tang Hoi, and the whole lineage of Tu Hieu Buddhism, of which Thay is the current Dhyana Master. Without this continuity of practice, we lose our connection with the teacher and the teachings. Join us every Monday at 5:30 PM in our practice space at Mystic Mountain, 435 NW Fourth Street. We will practice together with openness, lightness of heart, sharing our experience with the practice, and deep listening.
