Hello, Sangha Friends---
Have you heard about our Mindful Cooking project? We got started in response to Thay's 2007 dharma talk on the damaging consequences of animal agriculture. He encouraged us to question our food choices and move toward a plant-based diet. A few of us in Portland decided to share our recipe discoveries and experiences as we explore this new way of eating.
We keep our recipe collection on our website---The Joy of Mindful Cooking http://mindfulcooking.org/
) --- and we meet four times a year for a seasonal potluck. Everyone is welcome! We are all in different places on the carnivore-herbivore continuum. We talk about everything from how our own food choices are evolving to food issues in the community and beyond, while enjoying a colorful array of plant-based dishes, all prepared with love.;-)
