Begin Again - A Day of Guided Sitting Meditation
Saturday, April 3rd 2010 10-5 pm,
With Lama Tara, 3311 NW Polk, Corvallis OR
Description: This is an opening for anyone who is new to Buddhist meditation and a fresh start for everyone who is already practicing. You are not exactly the same person who started before and these will not be the identical conditions as when you began. With a fresh start get to see who you are right now. Need a break? The Tibetan Buddhist master, Kalu Rinpoche called this the best kind of holiday.
Pre-registration is required: Please send a check for $45 made to “Cathy Neumann” to: 3191 NW Morning Glory Drive, Corvallis OR 97330. Please include your email address. A refund minus $10 handling fee is available up to 2 weeks (March 20th) before the event.
What to Bring: Meditation cushion (chairs are available), travel mug (we will have hot water and tea), tea or baked item to share, note book, checks or cash for dana offering or any items for sale, your lunch in a cooler or plan to eat out.
Instructor: Janet Goforth (Lama Tara) formally became a Buddhist in 1977. After completing two traditional 3-yr cloistered Buddhist retreats, Tara began teaching Buddhism on Vancouver Island, B.C. and has led several retreats here in Corvallis over the years.
