Buddha 101- a Five Week Class
Our class will be based on the mindfulness teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh
Join us to discover the basic tenets of Buddhism and how they can apply to your daily life.
Tuition: $100 for five classes (which includes a donation to the Five Stones Sangha to cover expenses). The classes are 1 hour and 45 minute long. No one will be turned away because of cost.
Pre-Registration for the class is necessary by e-mailing your interest to Ken Oefelein at: firstname.lastname@example.org and sending a check for $50.00 (payable to Jerry Braza) to Ken Oefelein at 865 Raintree Dr., Corvallis, OR 97330. Include your name, phone #, and a brief note on your background and why you are taking this class. Questions call: 541-760-9760. Please arrive at 4:45 p.m. on the first night to complete payment and the registration process. Classes will meet from 5 - 6:45 p.m. on the following Thursdays: Aug. 29, Sept.5, 12, 26, and Oct. 3 and are held at: Corvallis Friends Meeting House, 3211 NW Polk, Corvallis
Jerry Braza, Ph.D., is a dharma teacher in the lineage of Thich Nhat Hanh and Professor Emeritus of Health Education at Western Oregon University. He conducts meditation retreats and mindfulness based training programs for a variety of spiritual and secular groups.
