A Community of Mindful Living in Corvallis, Oregon, guided by the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, Dhyana Master Triung Quang Nhat Hanh of the 42nd generation of the Lam Te Dyhana School and the 8th generation of the Lieu Quan Dharma Line. We practice in the tradition Plum Village, France, and the Oregon Many Rivers Sangha. We are connected to all of Thich Nhat Hanh's monasteries, practice centers, and sanghas throughout the world.
Five Stones Sangha formed in December 2008, by friends wishing to deepen their practice of mindful living. The Sangha is continually evolving and learning, and doing so in the spirit of Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings. We also rely on our daily experiences to teach us the most skillful ways to interact with our world. Through meditation, reflection, and discussion we support one another and nurture our potential to be truly awake each moment of our lives.
Five Stones Sangha meets on Monday evenings from 5:30 until 7:00, at the Fellowship Room Corvallis Friends Meeting House, 3311 NW Polk Street, Corvallis, Oregon 97339. Enter the main entrance on Polk, and our room is through the double doors to the left (except on the last Monday of the month, when we meet in the room to the right for tea). We hope you will visit us soon. We practice Mindfulness, Concentration, and Insight. We welcome all views, all religions, all people, visit once or come every week. As Buddha said "Spiritual friends are the essence of the spiritual life". If you would like to learn more about our practice, please email email@example.com. Please read the Welcome Brochure.
